- Tunggu Sejenak
Sebelum menyeberang, carilah tempat penyeberangan khusus pejalan kaki seperti zebra cross. Perhatikan rambu-rambu lalu lintas di sekitar kita. Ini penting untuk mengetahui waktu yang tepat untuk menyeberang. - Toleh ke Kanan dan Kiri, Serta Tengok Kanan Lagi
Pastikan kondisi aman dengan melihat lalu lintas di sekitar sebanyak mungkin, agar kita tahu situasi jalan sebelum menyeberang. - Menyeberang dengan Angkat Tangan dan Berjalan Kaki, Jangan Berlari
Ketika jalanan sudah kondusif, angkat tangan saat menyeberang untuk memberi isyarat kepada pengendara, dan menyeberanglah dengan berjalan kaki, jangan berlari. - Tetap Tenang
Jangan tergesa-gesa saat menyeberang. Terburu-buru bisa membahayakan diri sendiri dan membuat fokus hilang, yang akhirnya bisa mengabaikan keselamatan. Tetaplah tenang dan hati-hati saat menyeberang.
Selain mengetahui tips menyeberang yang aman, diharapkan juga para pengendara roda dua maupun roda empat untuk menurunkan kecepatan jika melihat pejalan kaki hendak menyeberang, demi keselamatan mereka.
